Today Mr Rob needed some help in the garden. Some of the Pohutukawa children were super excited to help. Mr Rob showed the children how to use the rake and talked about the bushes he was trimming. We can see the birds will have lots of berries this winter. We collected the branches and loaded them in the trailer for Mr Rob. Then we made sure we washed our hands. We wrote about helping Mr Rob and can't wait until he asks us again.

Dress up day story and milk
This afternoon Mrs Hefferman got to read to a bunch of children who were all dressed up. What a fun day today and we also raised money for people in need.
EEKKing for writing
You may be asking What is EEKKing? Well it is simply elbow to elbow, knee to knee. It's that's simple.
Over the past couple of days we have been using this to brainstorm what we are going to be writing about.
As you are aware today was dress up day so we were lucky enough to EEKK in our dress ups. Check out the photos below.

Discovery dress up challenge!
What do you want to be when you grow up? We think we have created some new careers!! There was some fantastic problem solving going on when the children had to create their costumes. We can't wait to read the writing that will go along with these fantastic ideas next week!
Discovery! Lego challenges!
What a busy morning during discovery today!
In the green space we were doing Lego challenges.
Some were only building using one colour brick
Some were building things from the sea
We also had a free design group.
What could you build? Take a photo and share it with us!
