Statistics in Pohutukawa

We have been learning how to ask a question, collect information and answer questions about the graphs. 

Today we worked together to find out the favourite ice cream flavour in Pohutukawa....can you tell what it is?

We will put our ice creams onto a chart, come into class and see if we have your favourite flavour!

Cross country

What a great day for a cross country. Pohutukawa joined the rest of the school to complete a duathlon in their house colours. They all tried hard and did very well on the challenging course! Well done to everyone and thank you for the parents who supported or joined in.

CARES Assembly Learning movie

On Friday the children from Pohutukawa presented their very first assembly in front of the whole school and parents.

Reading Group Activity

Over the last two reading sessions these two girls have used a book that we read in their reading group to follow instructions to create a shiny crown. Haven't they followed the instructions well?!

Working Together

Today some of the children in Pohutukawa chose to create an artwork together by drawing with white pastel on black paper and using stones and jewels. They worked very well collaboratively and were so proud of their final design!

Duffy Role Model Assembly

Today was very exciting for all of us at Sockburn School. At our special assembly we got our first Duffy books for 2016. We are very happy ... Thank you Duffy Books in Homes!
